Roadmap
Each phase ships only when the previous one has proven the fun on its own terms. Nothing here is dated because nothing here is rushed.
| Phase | What happens | Ownership layer |
|---|---|---|
| F0 · Testnet | Public playtest: onboarding, balancing, community | none |
| F1 · Private Beta | Invite-only on mainnet; the game runs live with ownership rails quietly on | Soul accumulation begins |
| F2 · Launch + Season 1 | Full public game, 30-day seasons | Soul continues |
| F3 · NFT Launch | S1 weeks 3–4: SR/SSR minting, marketplace | trading begins, pre-token |
| F4 · Seasons 2–3 | New spirits, new synergies, TD and Boss events, battle pass | Relics, forging, Legendaries |
| F5 · TGE | $FAUST live; retroactive Soul conversion for the earliest Keepers | full economy |
Play-first, own-later
Blockchain arrives as an optional ownership layer after retention is proven, never before. Off-chain simulation, on-chain assets only. SR and SSR spirits can be minted as NFTs for under a dollar in the chain's native coin; minting represents an owned spirit rather than selling power. A 5% royalty applies to secondary trades.
Soul earned from Private Beta onward counts. Before TGE, a snapshot is taken; at conversion, Soul burns in exchange for the holder's share of the revenue-backed reward pool.
Built to survive its own economy
The previous generation of web games died the same death: tokens printed by gameplay with no revenue behind them, early players holding permanent power, growth dependent on infinite new buyers. THE FAUST is architected against that pattern from day one. Rewards come from revenue. Boosts expire. Sinks come before growth. If reward re-absorption falls below target, sinks are added before any expansion is chased.
The chain is deliberately not chosen yet. Candidates under consideration include Solana, Base, Ronin, Immutable, Abstract, and TON; the decision happens at TGE-prep based on distribution, liquidity, wallet experience, and grants. THE FAUST is a game. Nothing here is financial advice or a promise of earnings.
