Overview

THE FAUST is a pixel-art idle management game with a cozy horror heart. You are not the hero. You are a debtor, and the candle you inherited is the contract: while the flame burns, spirits work through the night and pay your debt down. If it dies, the collectors come.

Every real day is one in-game day. At dusk you prepare. Overnight, the game simulates what happened while you were away and hands you the Night Ledger: an hour-by-hour account of what was earned, what went wrong, and what was taken. Each morning you read, spend, upgrade, and light the candle again.

This litepaper covers the material and gameplay in detail for the community. The short version of our promises: the game is complete and fun with no crypto at all; money buys time, never power; and every price in the economy is paired with a source.

Numbers here are current drafts from the project canon v1.9 and its simulator. They move during tuning. Locked design does not.
